Located in Ramhiti Boudhanath, town in the outskirts of Kathmandu, the Tibetan community has found a reference in a school, the Manasarovar School, name inspired by the holy lake located near Mount Kailash in Tibet, which is a female symbol in the Tibetan tradition.
We work in the school since 1999 to give Tibetan children in Nepal the opportunity to study following the ancient traditions of their culture of origin.
In recent years, applications to enrol in the school have increased, which means that the school is no longer able to manage it: the number of children that the school would like to receive is too large, as well as the costs for educative materials, medicines and more.
Today ASIA helps 200 children through long distance support, all of them coming from the poorest families in the community of Tibetan refugees. Join the Project.
